About the Role
Time Personnel is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team in the Western Cape region. The ideal candidate will have hands-on bookkeeping experience and be comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced operational businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Working alongside the Director, Procurement Team, and Outsourced Accounting Firm
- Bookkeeping Support: Capture day-to-day financial transactions into the accounting system
- Bank, Creditor, and Debtor Reconciliations
- Maintaining Organised and Up-to-Date Financial Records
- Ensuring Supporting Documentation is Correctly Filed and Easily Retrievable
- Financial & General Administration
- Assisting with Month-End Bookkeeping Tasks
- Payments & Banking (Support Function)
- Preparing and Loading Payments on the Company’s Banking Platform
- Maintaining Payment Schedules and Assisting with Cash Flow Tracking
- Flagging Discrepancies or Missing Documentation
- Invoicing, Administration: Receiving, Sorting, Allocating, and Filing Supplier Invoices and Credit Notes
- Capturing Invoice Information Accurately into the Accounting System
- Assisting with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Administration
- Following up on Outstanding Invoices or Documentation as Instructed
- Providing Administrative Support to the Finance Team and Management
- Consulting with Suppliers and Internal Staff on Basic Invoice and Payment Queries
- Maintaining Confidentiality of All Financial Information
Requirements
- Minimum 3-4 years’ hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Strong experience in small to medium-sized business environments
- Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced operational businesses
- Experience owning the full bookkeeping function (not just transactional capture)
- Strong reconciliation discipline (bank, AR, AP)

- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
