About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Financial & Compliance Manager to join our team at Persona Staff in Durbanville, South Africa. As a key member of our company, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance across all aspects of our business, including finance, HR, payroll, tax, and statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage compliance across all aspects of the business
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Coordinate tax filings, audits, and ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory standards
  • Review, draft, and manage contracts, ensuring they are legally sound and protect the company’s interests
  • Maintain and update company policies to reflect changes in legislation and best practices
  • Manage company records and filings, ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements
  • Advise senior management on compliance-related risks and implement strategies to mitigate potential issues
  • Work closely with the property management team to ensure accurate tenant invoicing and efficient debtor collections

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a finance or compliance management role within a small to mid-sized business
  • Strong knowledge of regulations related to finance, HR, payroll, tax, and audit in the South African context
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial management best practices
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial and compliance matters
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively

Qualifications

  • A relevant finance degree is required
  • Property finance experience is highly advantageous
