About the Role
The People Operations Lead will be responsible for leading all employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with labour legislation and internal policies, and providing guidance to line managers on people-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, and incapacity processes
- Chair hearings and ensure compliance with labour legislation and internal policies
- Provide clear, practical guidance to line managers on people-related matters
- Manage and support the HR team
- Support the management team with HR related matters
- Oversee HR operations across the full employee lifecycle including talent acquisition; learning & development; onboarding and off boarding
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in HR processes and documentation
- Support the implementation of HR policies and initiatives across the business
- Work collaboratively with the Payroll and Finance team to ensure accurate monthly payroll reporting
- Prepare for and represent the business at CCMA (or manage external representation where required)
Requirements
A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Law, or a related field. At least 5–8 years’ HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations.
