About the Role
Persona Staff is seeking an experienced Property & Litigation Attorney to join our team in Cape Town, Western Cape. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for managing debt collection processes, negotiating settlements, and representing the company in court matters related to debt.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft summons and letters of demand
- Manage the full debt collection process
- Negotiate settlements
- Represent the company in court hearings
- Prepare and submit all legal notices and court documentation
- Handle eviction proceedings under the PIE Act
- Prepare documentation for tribunal cases
- Represent the company at hearings
- Draft settlement agreements if needed
- Bond cancellations
- Property transfers
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, deeds, and related documentation
- Liaising with banks, Deeds Office, and stakeholders
- Sectional title schemes
- Body corporate matters
- General property law advice
Requirements
- LLB degree
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
- Minimum 2–5 years post-admission experience in property/conveyancing law
- Experience drafting letters of demand and managing compliance matters
