Job Description

Job Title: Surveyor/Foreman

Location: Wellington, Western Cape

Industry: Construction/Civil Engineering

Hire Resolve’s client in the civil construction industry is seeking surveyors/foremen to join their company in Wellington and contribute towards the company’s success in their civil projects.

Responsibilities:

Monitor correct use of small plant and tools.
Ensure correct application of plant and implements.
Manage a team of construction workers and subcontractors
Monitor progress and quality of work on construction sites
Implement safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers
Utilise surveying equipment such as total stations and GPS systems
Providing accurate and detailed reports on project progress and data
Plan material requirements according to weekly plan.
Check and observe level and line during pipelaying.
Check all benchmarks, survey beacons and existing connection points for accuracy

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is beneficial
Proven experience as a surveyor and/or foreman in the civil construction industry
Minimum of 3 years experience in the civil construction industry
Proficient in surveying techniques and equipment
Valid driver’s license – Code B
