Hire Resolve’s client in the civil construction industry is seeking surveyors/foremen to join their company in Wellington and contribute towards the company’s success in their civil projects. 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor correct use of small plant and tools.
• Ensure correct application of plant and implements.
• Manage a team of construction workers and subcontractors
• Monitor progress and quality of work on construction sites
• Implement safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers
• Utilise surveying equipment such as total stations and GPS systems
• Providing accurate and detailed reports on project progress and data
• Plan material requirements according to weekly plan.
• Check and observe level and line during pipelaying.
• Check all benchmarks, survey beacons and existing connection points for accuracy

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is beneficial
• Proven experience as a surveyor and/or foreman in the civil construction industry
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the civil construction industry
• Proficient in surveying techniques and equipment
• Valid driver’s license – Code B
