About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the civil construction industry is seeking surveyors/foremen to join their company in Wellington and contribute towards the company’s success in their civil projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor correct use of small plant and tools.
- Ensure correct application of plant and implements.
- Manage a team of construction workers and subcontractors.
- Monitor progress and quality of work on construction sites.
- Implement safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers.
- Utilise surveying equipment such as total stations and GPS systems.
- Providing accurate and detailed reports on project progress and data.
- Plan material requirements according to weekly plan.
- Check and observe level and line during pipelaying.
- Check all benchmarks, survey beacons and existing connection points for accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is beneficial.
- Proven experience as a surveyor and/or foreman in the civil construction industry.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the civil construction industry.
- Proficient in surveying techniques and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license – Code B.
