Job Summary

The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively within the team and across other teams in business to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Key responsibilities: Ensuring continual appreciation of the broader business context by understanding industry and market dynamics, and our strategic goals. Prepare and facilitate requirements elicitation workshops with stakeholders to define business requirements from feature/change requests. Creation of user stories. Consult and develop product backlog with Product Owners. Guide the development teams to break down large and complex user stories into simplified versions for execution. Test the user stories for accuracy and compliance to ensure undisputed acceptance and validation of stories. Conduct post implementation review and provide feedback to the stakeholders. Participate in sprint planning, daily scrums, testing, retrospectives, and sprint reviews. Analysis of business, system and functional requirements including as-is to-be analysis, impact analysis of changes required to existing systems and processes. Consult and co-ordinate with key stakeholders across Business and IT teams. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile information conflicts, break down high-level information into their constituent details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true business needs. Work closely with internal Group-wide teams and external teams and vendors to deliver a successful outcome. Assist in Production support to solve incidents or document requests in conjunction with the IT and Business operational teams as part of the warranty phase. Qualifications Relevant Commerce degree/diploma in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Investment Management or Business Management or related fields. Business Analysis certification/qualification. Agile methodology Knowledge and Experience A deep understanding of investment and life products A deep understanding of South African Investment Platforms and platform operations An understanding of financial services regulation as it relates to investment platform providers. Exposure to Data analysis Experience in building successful relationships and working collaboratively across departmental teams and third-party vendors. Experience working in a fast paced, proactive and delivery focused environment. JIRA and Confluence experience or related tools are a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Visio), with MS Excel at least at an intermediate level. Actively participate and drive the planning, estimation and sizing of change requests, features, or IT service requests to be delivered across the relevant delivery streams Delivery of a well-structured and standard designed, quality assurance solution within the timelines agreed with the delivery team. Report and manage the resolution of issues timeously to avoid unplanned expenses which could result in late delivery and stability issues once operational. Contribute to the retrospective reviews to introduce efficiencies which will ensure quicker delivery with high quality to our clients. Work closely with Leads, Developers, Architects, Product Owner, and other Stakeholders to meet the expectations of our clients. Build and foster deep relationship with Peers, Subject Matter Experts, Developers, Product Owner, and other Stakeholders though honest communication which align to the company values. Liaise with stakeholders across the business to build a network that will align to ways of work. Contribute to the systematic breakdown of the business need into manageable feature(s), stories and epics that can be delivered. Participate in the backlog grooming. Conduct and participate in the sprint planning, test estimation and success criteria. Collaborate with the core test team to continuously improve the test regression pack, automation frameworks and overall platform. Where applicable, implement the test automation solutions with the objective that it has adequate coverage and can be re-used for regression testing. Confirm that the automation/functional test suite implemented is appropriately catalogued and aligns with the test governance. Responsible for testing of the system or component testing under load, high-availability, recoverability and other fit for purpose non-functional testing. Log defects using the pre-defined defect management tool and ensure the relevant information is captured accurately that will assist with the root cause analysis. Identify potential product risks and communicate to the stakeholders the details and any possible mitigation factors. Collaborate with the stakeholder to ensure the resolution of a defect and that the root cause analysis is performed and recorded. Report status of testing to the respective delivery stream stakeholders on a regular basis. Conduct retrospective reviews. Participate in the showcases to stakeholders. Ability to perform hands on test execution as well lead the team for project, including coaching and mentoring team members. Understand and manage own time based on expected timelines articulated by the line-management and project expectations. Collaborate with peers and business experts to understand technical advances and its application within the INN8 eco-system. Seek ongoing improvements in technical capabilities. Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives, and values. Stay abreast of developments in the software quality assurance industry. Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities. Contribute to the company culture building initiatives. Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of the business strategy. Seek opportunities to improve business processes, models, and systems though agile thinking.

Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Title: Business Analyst Employment Type: 6 Months Hybrid Employment Contract JOB PURPOSE: The Business Analyst facilitates business and cross‐competency teams to understand, analyze and document relevant business functions and business requirements in completing tasks related to business solution planning, documenting, managing customer requirements as well as card system design and implementation. The work of the BA also includes process analysis; business process and requirements modelling and analysis. The role works with business stakeholders, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, System Architects, System Analysts, Developers and Project Management to develop and implement business solutions on within the company group environment. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE: Facilitate workshops in order to obtain business requirements in terms of the current and proposed end state of the project. Gathering of information and follow up of outstanding issues to complete BRD, User Stories or Processes Updates. Working with key role players to define/re-design business processes and identify corresponding solution requirements whilst establishing appropriate expectations and controlling scope. Assist in completing concepts or provide input into new concepts by defining high-level requirements and proposing possible solutions where required. Produce Business Requirements Documents (BRDs or User Stories) that meets both Business and IT requirements through investigating business needs. Analysis and documentation of the “As-Is” and “To-Be” business architecture, existing products and services, system functionalities and analyse existing business process to identify gaps and areas of improvement. Facilitate work sessions/walkthrough/demo sessions, with all parties ( e.g. Business, IT, Legal, Compliance, etc.) to ensure that all Business Requirements are aligned. Ensure all the business requirements, business processes, evaluations and recommendations of possible business solutions, assessments and feasibility analysis are documented, circulated and signed off by the relevant stakeholders and handed over to the Scrum Master/PM for use in defining and designing the project. Ensure that new implementations and enhancements are comprehensively reflected in the BRD or User Story. Review and provide Input to User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases, including monitoring and supporting of testing executions. Support business, legal and technology teams during development, testing and deployment stages of the project. Actively participate in issue resolution and escalation timeously. Take ownership of all work and tasks assigned and ensure quality delivery. Make sure that the following artefacts are completed per project, signed off and are saved in a shared drive or repository: BRDs and/or User Stories, revised processes, UAT use or test cases. Adhere to Absa frameworks, policies and procedures applicable to this role, demonstrating sound judgement and responsible risk management, and where required, highlight breaches and request dispensations & waivers on a timely basis. Build and maintain strong relationships with main role players by communicating regularly and working closely with them. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: B-degree in Commerce or Science (Honours is advantageous). Senior Business Analyst. Over 7 years experience. Financial service industry experience. Previous regulatory project experience advantageous. Competencies: Excellent probing, interviewing, and influencing skills. Solid BA skills with Over 7-year experience. Ability to self-organise and meet tight deadlines. Solid stakeholder management skills. PACKAGE & REMUNERATION: Will be agreed based on qualifications, applicable banking experience
