Job Summary

What youll do: Budgets, Forecasts & Financial Models: Develop and manage the annual budgets and forecasts for the group, working closely with leadership to ensure financial goals are met. Create financial models to support scenario planning and business strategies, providing insights to drive informed decision-making. Month-End & Management Accounts: Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial packs, delivering variance analysis and actionable insights. Perform in-depth reviews to ensure accurate reporting and provide recommendations for cost savings and profit maximisation. Drive improvements in financial reporting, ensuring all processes are efficient and effective. Stock & Asset Management: Ensure accurate stock provisions and addressing any discrepancies. Ensure fixed asset management is up-to-date, including asset depreciation and movement. Systems & IT Projects: Lead the ZAP BI project to automate management packs and streamline financial reporting, improving efficiency. Oversee Finance IT projects and ensure financial systems are optimised for maximum impact. Supportive Leadership & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Financial Director to execute strategies, and bring fresh ideas to the table for financial growth and efficiency. Provide valuable insights to senior leadership to guide key decisions, while maintaining a supportive and actionable financial partnership. Lead by example, driving the implementation of strategies with a focus on business growth and sustainable change. What we need from you: 5 years of experience in corporate finance, with a strong focus on financial strategy execution and business partnership. An entrepreneurial mindset thats focused on delivering results and shaping financial processes. Expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Syspro is a plus). Hands-on experience with data-driven solutions like ZAP BI and a solid understanding of IT systems for finance reporting. Strong communication skills to effectively partner with leadership and drive strategic decisions. A results-driven approach with the ability to implement financial strategies that fuel business success. Job Summary

Key Functions Lead and manage all finance functions within the organisation to maintain a healthy financial position and meet the prescribed accounting guidelines. Manage and upskill the finance/accounting team. Prepare a summary of month-end accounts Ensure the annual financial reports are in order at year end Manage forecasts and plan budgets across multiple departments/divisions. Forecast future needs using a long-term planning process to improve company performance. Assess, manage, and minimize risk. Analyze complex financial data. Set financial targets Support senior stakeholders on all business reviews. Analyze and report on financial performance. Develop and implement accounting/admin policies and improving financial processes. Manage internal controls. Manage overall insurance portfolio Engage with investors & landlords Direct and develop financial planning and strategy. Conduct feasibility studies Monitor expenditure. Monitor cash flow & hedging of forex Evaluate investments opportunities Oversee audit and tax functions and ensure compliance Manage debt Ensure compliance with accounting regulations. Forex analysis and forward cover management Scrutinize all legal contracts including supplier agreements, building leases, our own distribution agreements with our customers, local contracts including Fleet Conducting Internal audits at branch level from a financial and stock position Manage Treasury and Forex Key Requirements Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) Minimum 15 years experience in similar role Proven track record of having dealt with importing and exporting and dealing with exchange rates/forex. Proven track record of advising and guiding in money investment Proven track record of successful forecasting and budgeting Cash flow management experience Accounting software knowledge and experience Excellent knowledge of accounting standards Know how to interpret complex financial information Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication Exceptional numerical proficiency Financial reporting experience Statutory reporting experience
