Key Responsibilities

• Manage the cashbook – the central line where all flows begin and end
• Process journal entries and keep the general ledger charged with accuracy
• Oversee sub-modules in the general ledger for seamless reporting
• Handle foreign exchange transactions and keep cross-border currents balanced
• Run payroll with precision to keep the team powered up
• Prepare and execute payments safely and on time
• Work with ERP systems (SAGE preferred, Syspro a bonus) to keep the financial grid connected

Job Experience and Skills Required

• BCom or National Diploma in Accounting/Finance – essential
• 3–5 years’ accounting experience
• Solid expertise in cashbooks, journal entries, general ledgers, sub-modules, foreign exchange, payroll, and payments – non-negotiable
• ERP experience required (SAGE essential, Syspro a bonus)
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and reliability under pressure
• A proactive mindset – the kind of accountant who keeps the lights on and speaks up.
