Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Assist in the daily administration of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS). Keep food safety and quality documentation, records, and logs up to date. Coordinate scheduling of audits, inspections, verifications, and internal reviews. Support implementation of food safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Prepare, organise, and archive compliance reports, certificates, and audit files. Communicate with suppliers and service providers regarding certificates of analysis, compliance documentation, and product specifications. Assist with internal and external audit preparation and follow-up. Provide administrative support to the Food Safety Consultant in all compliance-related activities. Necessary Qualifications & Skills: Base knowledge of food safety standards basic requirements. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, One Drive, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Additional Qualifications & Skills: Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Fundamental knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (R638, SANS10049, GFSI). Experience in document control, compliance administration, or quality assurance within the food industry.
