Nature Reserve close to Bela Bela is looking for a Wildlife Centre Manager to manage the health of an abundance and diversity of wildlife, as well as the habitats and resources in the area. This will include monitoring animal population and conducting of animal survey and research, create and implement plans for protecting wildlife.

Duties:

Managing and overseeing wildlife centre

Rehabilitation management

Animal release timelines and management

Environmental management

Staff and roster management

Animal administration management

Overall administration management

Overall stock management

Overall animal checks and health management

Logistics management

Finance management

Risk management

Clinic management

Animal care management

Infrastructure management

Student guidance and training

Requirements:

Grade 12

Diploma in Wildlife Management / Certificate in wildlife rehabilitation

At least 2 3 years experience in wildlife habitat management

Experience in budgeting, record keeping and financial management

ETDP registration will be an advantage

Knowledge of wildlife management principles and practices

Ability to communicate effectively

Able to ensure that legal requirements are complied with

Able to maintain a high level of security

Decision making abilities

Able to work independently as well as, as a team member

Good problem solving skills

Proficiency in the use of wildlife management related programs
