Job Description Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the following: Managing Machine shop daily Working with maintenance to eliminate down time in Machine shop Working with Programmer to Continuously improve cycle times Attending and updating Weekly production meetings Doing 5Y investigations on scrap produced (drive to reduce scrap) Managing tooling in machine shop (controlling cost) Controlling machine cutting Fluids (coolant) Qualifications Matric certificate Production management diploma/qualification will be an advantage. Trade test (beneficial) Skills Minimum 3 years experience in a machine shop environment Mastercam CAD CAM experience essential. Microsoft office essential Strong supervisory skills Must come from heavy engineering manufacturing background
