An established business in the South African long-term insurance sector, with over 25 years of experience, is looking for a Release & DevOps Specialist to join their team. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the release calendar, coordinating with product owners, developers, and QA.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for .NET, Blazor, and SQL Server applications.
• Automate deployments across dev, staging, and production environments with rollback strategies.
• Maintain environment parity and stability while monitoring performance and compliance.
• Triage staging issues and work closely with QA and developers to ensure release readiness.
• Continuously improve processes to deliver faster, safer, and more reliable releases.

Education:

• Relevant IT qualification or equivalent practical experience.

Experience:

• Strong track record in release management and DevOps within enterprise or regulated environments.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on deployments of .NET, Blazor, and SQL Server applications.

Skills:

• Expert knowledge of Git branching strategies and source control.
• Troubleshooting across code, config, and environments.
• Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) advantageous.
• Knowledge of security practices for deployments and secrets management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Seq) and infrastructure automation is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Strong troubleshooting skills across code, config and environment layers, and experience with Source control
