BevZero is a global leader in dealcoholisation processes, products, and equipment. The company provides beverage solutions such as product formulation, supply chain management, dealcoholisation, as well as white label and private label products for low and no-alcohol wines and ciders to a wide range of global clients. They currently have a vacancy for an eager, experienced Junior Winemaker to provide support to the Production Manager in their Paarl Cellar.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Actively manage the production on cellar floor and ensure all processes run smoothly
• Assist the Production Manager with various administrative and production tasks
• Conduct winemaker tasks associated with low and no-alcohol wines
• Manage technologies on production lines (Spinning Cones GoLo Tech for alcohol removal, pasteurisation, and filter machines)
• Coordinate and assist with lab-analysis
• Manage cellar team and ensure that deadlines are met

The ideal candidate has the following knowledge, experience, and skills:

• A relevant tertiary qualification will be beneficial
• At least three years of experience in the wine industry
• A keen interest in the zero-alcohol industry and processes
• Well-organised and results driven
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach to tasks
• Excellent time management, planning, prioritising, and coordination skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and strong sense of self-confidence
• Highly adaptable and willing to learn and take on additional tasks where possible
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for outcomes
• High levels of integrity, professionalism, and strong ethical standards in all aspects of work
