The Opportunity
As CFO, you will be the architect of financial strategy, partnering with the CEO and Board to navigate opportunities and challenges in the insurance sector. You’ll lead all financial operations whilst providing the strategic insights that fuel sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
What You’ll Bring
Essential Qualifications:
- CA(SA) designation
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
- Valid SAICA clearance certificate

Strategic Leadership
- Craft and execute financial strategies that align with business objectives
- Deliver critical financial insights to guide Board decisions
- Lead capital allocation and long-term planning initiatives
- Evaluate growth opportunities whilst safeguarding against risk
Financial Excellence
- Direct comprehensive financial operations including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure IFRS-compliant reporting that exceeds stakeholder expectations
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks
- Present financial performance with clarity and confidence to the Board
Treasury & Risk Optimisation
- Optimise cash flow, working capital, and banking partnerships
- Strengthen the organisation’s capital structure
- Implement enterprise-wide risk management frameworks
- Ensure comprehensive risk mitigation strategies
Regulatory Mastery
- Navigate Companies Act, tax legislation, and insurance regulations with expertise
- Manage relationships with auditors, SARS, and regulatory authorities
- Champion corporate governance and ethical standards
- Drive tax efficiency through strategic planning
Team Development
- Build and inspire a high-calibre finance team
- Cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Foster collaboration across the executive suite
