Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the transport & logistics sector
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of:
- Taut liner freight – national and cross-border
- Side tipper operations – national mining sector
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to design, tailor, and pitch customised logistics solutions to meet diverse client needs
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition, identifying and securing new clients across industries
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow market share
- Build strong, trust-based client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery from onboarding through to after-sales support
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximise client value
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Prepare and maintain detailed pipeline reports and sales forecasts
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, forums, and networking events
- Stay updated on market trends, rates, and regulatory changes within logistics
