Job Description
A leading water tank manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Mining Sales Consultant (mining industry experience) to join their team. They offer robust, modular water storage solutions trusted across sectors and built to last. Whether its rationing water for a township, supporting remote mining operations, safeguarding against fires, or enabling sustainable living, they deliver resilience and reliability. The successful candidate will expand the company footprint within the mining sector by identifying and securing new clients, supporting the existing team and Head of Department (HOD), and contributing to revenue growth through technical sales expertise and sector engagement.
Responsibilities:

Research and identify new mining business opportunities and convert leads into sales

Produce complex quotations and respond to mining tenders

Engage with prospective and current mining clients through in-person visits and ongoing communication

Represent SBS Tanks at mining conferences and events
-
Maintain detailed visit schedules and provide regular feedback to the HOD
-
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the mining sector ecosystem, including organograms of key players

Collaborate with internal sales team members to close large, complex deals
Requirements:
-
Matric certificate
-
Experience in technical sales within the mining industry
-
A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or Process Engineering is advantageous
-
35 years of proven technical sales experience in the mining sector or a comparable technical environment
