Job Description

Field Service Technician Reporting to: Operations Seniority Level: Mid-Career (2 – 4 yrs exp) Type: Temp Duties and Responsibilities: Trade Test Electrician (Red seal) 2-3 years Electrical and Mechanical experience Post Grade PLC experience in maintenance and fault finding Computer literate Sound knowledge of mechanical, pneumatics and valves Motor AC Drives Responsibilities: Responding to customer callouts and field dispatches Meeting with the customer to determine the nature of the service or repair Conducting routine equipment servicing out in the field Repairing equipment and replacing faulty parts Installing and testing new equipment Providing preventive equipment maintenance Providing technical training on new equipment installations Maintaining equipment stock in the company vehicle Completing job reports Sectors: Manufacturing Functions: Engineering, Technical, Production & Manufacturing

Job Description

Area/Location: Cape Town Summery: Our client is actively seeking a highly proficient and experienced Field Service Specialist Required Outputs: Functional: Assist on site to take samples, analyse and compile weekly service and monthly reports Place monthly chemical orders and ensure all products are delivered and correct stock levels are maintained Site Servicing (Control equipment, calibration, dosing pumps, water chemistry) Ensure all chemical treated systems are fully optimized and good margins are maintained on site Ensure healthy growth of the accounts in the area and retain customers Ensure all treated systems are treated properly and enough stock is always on site Ensure all site personnel are doing the work correctly and safely (Operators, technicians and site supervisor) Attend monthly/quarterly review meetings with key site management personnel Ensure all accounts are paid up, if not to follow up and make sure accounts are not blocked Ensure housekeeping and Safety on all assigned sites are always up to standards Quarterly and yearly budgets for all accounts Assist on periodic price increases on all accounts Comply to all safety rules, ensure all risk assessments and safe work procures are in place Requirements: Qualifications and Expertise Required (Must): Drivers License and Own Car Matric (Science and Maths) National Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Technical Field Expertise related to Water Treatment/Account Management/Sales Valid Drivers License Proficiency in Excel/Word/PowerPoint Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics) Customer Centric Good Communication Skills Pro-active Time and task Management Team Player Highly analytical and results driven Working independently

Job Description

Please note the client only has a satellite office in CPT. This role will start as a contract. Summary of Tasks: Provide written reports to clients and maintain records of repairs and returns. Prepare, submit, and keep records of warranty claims. Offer telephonic and on-site support to customers. Provide internal technical sales support. Ensure compliance with ISO requirements. Commission equipment and evaluate problems with specific applications. Address breakdowns and offer solutions. Willingness to travel for work, including after hours and cross-border support. Assist with spare stock control and warehousing. Help with customer quotes as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager. Skills Required: Qualified Electrician or Technician with an N3 or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering. At least 3 years of experience in Control Systems. Valid Drivers License and own reliable transport. Experience in Control Systems Electronics and/or Pneumatics. Proficient in MS Office. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent people skills. This role will start as a contract
