Our client has an opportunity available for a Broker Consultant.

Requirements:

• Matric or SAQA accredited equivalent- essential.
• BCom or similar qualification would be advantageous.
• 3 to 4+ years experience in sales and distribution in long-term insurance- essential.
• Experience in marketing or sales in banking, financial, insurance or business services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a quality service to brokers, while identifying opportunities to secure new business.
• Process cases, deal with queries and investigate and resolve customer problems.
• Build, maintain and manage new and existing Broker or External partner relationships.
• Collect and analyse data using POL360 systems to identify trend, opportunities and risks.
• Provide daily performance reports on incoming contacts and sales.
• Ensure updated financial service industry and market knowledge.
• Develop knowledge and understanding of the companys policies and procedures and relevant regulatory codes.
• Manage and mitigate risks.

Our client has an EE opportunity available for a Broker Consultant.

Requirements:

• Matric
• NQF level 6 qualification or a 3-year relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
• RE5 Regulatory Examinations for representatives.
• 60 FAIS credits or full FAIS recognized qualification.
• Class of Business and Product specific training in category 1 life and friendly societies.
• 12+ years of Continuous Professional Development per CPD cycle.
• Knowledge and understanding of insurance legislation.
• Valid drivers license and own vehicle.
• Sound knowledge of long-term insurance or employee benefits products.
• Knowledge of underwriting processes.
• 5+ years experience in the insurance industry in the group funeral or group risk market.
• Broker consulting, trade unions and funeral parlours experience in an insurance company.
• Experience in establishing contacts and relationships with decision makers.
• Proven sales track record.

KPAs:

• Sourcing and securing new business opportunities with corporates, unions, churches, individual clients and more.
• Sourcing new brokers and maintaining relationships.
• Developing and maintaining client relationships in all business levels.
• Ensure that there are no unreasonable post-sales barriers faced by clients.
• Keep updated with competitor products and services offering and industry developments.
• Dealing with queries and providing information on a range of sales and service issues.
• Consistently strive to engage with clients to drive company values.
• Prepare and deliver clear and thoughtful presentations to various clients and potential client audiences with diverse backgrounds.
