Responsibilities

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our client’s team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components. They will also provide technical support to our engineering team and work on various projects related to electrical engineering. The successful candidate will assist in design of commercial, retail, industrial and multi-residential buildings. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components
• Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the functionality and efficiency of electrical systems
• Support the engineering team in various projects and tasks
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments in electrical engineering
• Electrical and electronic design of MV/LV installations, generators, UPS, PV, lighting and small power, access control, CCTV and data networks using latest software

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng/BSc Eng) or related field
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and components
• 1 to 2 years of experience in electrical design of building structures
• Revit 3D experience will be advantageous
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
