About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee all aspects of coal mining operations in Mpumalanga. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coal mining, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise mining operations, ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently and safely
- Plan and coordinate production schedules, ensuring targets are met within budget
- Manage and mentor a team of miners, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated
- Monitor and report on production metrics, identifying areas for improvement
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain equipment and infrastructure, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed
- Communicate effectively with management, vendors, and regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Opencast Blasting Certificate for Fiery Mines
- 2 Valid Opencast Coal Mine Machine Licenses
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in coal mining, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of mining regulations and safety procedures
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Opencast Blasting Certificate for Fiery Mines (required)
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: R800k – R900k per annum, depending on experience
