About the Role
Our Maitland-based client is seeking a motivated Junior Debtors Assistant to join their finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing their customer accounts, ensuring payments are processed accurately, and supporting the smooth running of their debtor processes. Our client is a growing and dynamic company that is constantly expanding, offering exciting opportunities to learn and develop within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and allocate customer payments
- Prepare and send invoices, credit notes, and statements
- Follow up on overdue accounts and assist with collections
- Reconcile debtor accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate customer account records
- Assist the finance team with month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Handle customer queries professionally
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of debtors/accounts receivable processes
- Must have experience with Pastel
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a finance role

- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
