About the Role

Our client, a Property IDevelopment & Management company, is seeking an experienced General Foreman to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring that construction works are executed safely, to specification, on programme, and within quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of site activities
  • Ensure that construction works are executed safely, to specification, on programme, and within quality standards
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, staff, suppliers, and site management
  • Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities and labour
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure productivity, quality, and programme compliance
  • Ensure works are executed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and approved methods
  • Monitor daily progress and report to the Site Manager
  • Enforce health and safety standards in line with OHS Act and company policies
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and site briefings

Requirements

  • Trade qualification or relevant construction certification
  • First Aid and Safety rep certificates (advantageous)
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a similar foreman role
  • Strong practical construction knowledge (civil, structural, finishes)
  • Have a good understanding of plumbing and electrical installations
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and direct labour
  • Sound understanding of construction drawings and specifications
  • Good working knowledge of OHS regulations

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification or relevant construction certification
