About the Role
As a Revenue Management Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing credit management processes, resolving invoice payment issues, and reconciling complex month-end accounts. You will work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and executive team members to develop and monitor a credit control system that ensures timely payments and maintains high levels of customer retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor a credit control system in collaboration with sales and marketing, finance, and executive team members.
- Creating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention.
- Establishing policies that follow customer service best practices while ensuring customers submit payments on time.
- Reconciling complex accounts that have been escalated from the AR team.
- Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO.
- Liaising with customers, as well as internal personnel including the sales team.
- Maintaining loan records, conducting regular analysis of the credit-control system, and implementing changes as needed to reduce bad debts.
- Following up on overdue invoices and payments and escalating as necessary.
- Looking for ways to improve debt collection processes.
- Replying promptly to client questions and concerns received by voicemail or via written communication.
- Processing irreconcilable debts/ preparing debt write-offs, as in the case of bankruptcy, to be written off and archived.
- Establishing and maintaining regular communications with clients to facilitate periodic payments.
- Developing and maintaining the groups customer onboarding and data management process and systems.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
- Knowledge of revenue management best practices is a plus.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
