About the Role
Bidvest Protea Coin is seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant to drive business growth and expansion in the Western Cape region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new clients, developing existing relationships, and increasing turnover, market share, and profitability. With a strong focus on delivering exceptional results and maintaining the company’s brand image, we are looking for a motivated and strategic thinker to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and be integral in the acquisition of new business
- Ensure the retention and development of existing business
- Increase turnover, market share, and profitability of the organization
- Form an integral part in new business proposals and hold responsibility for the effective acquisition of new clients
- Develop and achieve business growth through direct and indirect sales channels
- Drive key objectives of the Business Development strategy
- Identify opportunities to increase business footprint within existing client base
- Ensure accurate design and costing of proposals
- Achieve set targets on a Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual basis
- Present a quarterly business plan
- Maintain records and reports
- Provide market research and market intelligence to senior management of the division

- Exceptional command of the English language (written and verbal)
Qualifications
- BBA, BCom or similar qualification is preferable
