Job Description

Role Purpose The Barista & Front of House team member is the energetic and experiential face of NANAS. This role combines excellent barista skills with warm hospitality, strong product knowledge, and a natural ability to guide customers through the menu. The role also includes maintaining a clean, calm, and welcoming front-of-house environment. Barista & Beverage Preparation • Prepare coffee, tonics, mushroom lattes, hot chocolates, and specialty drinks • Follow recipes and preparation methods precisely • Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation • Care for equipment and workstations Front of House & Guest Experience • Welcome guests with warmth, presence, and attentiveness • Create a calm, inclusive atmosphere aligned with the NANAS brand • Guide customers through the menu using knowledge and interest • Upsell naturally through understanding ingredients and benefits Product Knowledge & Selling • Develop strong understanding of ingredients, tonics, mushrooms, teas, and food offerings • Share information confidently and conversationally • Support retail and add-on sales through genuine engagement • Answer customer questions with clarity and care Cleanliness & Presentation • Maintain a clean and organised front-of-house area • Follow cleaning schedules throughout shifts • Support dishwashing and general cleaning when required • Ensure the space is always customer-ready Teamwork & Communication • Work closely with kitchen and management teams • Communicate clearly during service • Support team flow during busy periods • Take direction and feedback constructively Required Skills & Experience • Previous barista or front-of-house experience • Interest in wellness, ingredients, and conscious food • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Comfortable with cleaning as part of daily work • Reliable, punctual, and present Personal Qualities Warm, grounded, curious, clean, attentive, calm under pressure, and naturally hospitable.
