About the Role

Hire Resolve’s Client, a leading company in the food industry, is urgently seeking a Financial Controller based in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of the company and providing strategic financial guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Manage day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
Identify financial risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with the Head of Finance in developing and maintaining robust internal controls.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Proven experience in a financial management role.
Professional certification (e.g., SAICA, CIMA) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and reporting.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to lead and manage a diverse finance team.
Experience and exposure in the FMCG required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
