Job Description

Scrum Master IT | Rivonia, Gauteng | Permanent Lead Agile delivery where discipline, collaboration, and outcomes matter. This role is suited to a seasoned Scrum Master who thrives in complex IT environments and knows how to turn Agile principles into real delivery results. This position focuses on leading and coaching cross-functional technology teams to deliver high-quality outcomes through disciplined Scrum practices. You will act as a servant leader, enabling teams to perform at their best by facilitating core Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement across delivery cycles. Strong engagement with product owners and stakeholders is critical to ensure alignment between business priorities and execution. You will play a key role in embedding Agile ways of working, promoting transparency through metrics, and supporting broader Agile maturity and transformation initiatives within the organisation. This is an on-site role, requiring hands-on leadership and strong interpersonal presence. Our client is a well-established organisation operating within a complex IT and digital environment. What You’ll Do Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives Coach and mentor cross-functional teams in Agile and Scrum best practices Identify and remove delivery impediments to ensure smooth execution Partner with product owners to manage and refine product backlogs Track and report Agile metrics such as velocity and burndown charts Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and psychological safety Support Agile transformation initiatives and communities of practice Ensure compliance with organisational standards and IT governance What You Bring 10 years’ experience working as a Scrum Master in IT environments Deep knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum frameworks Strong facilitation, coaching, and servant leadership capability Proven ability to manage stakeholders and resolve team conflict Experience guiding teams through change and process improvement Strong analytical, communication, and emotional intelligence skills What Success Looks Like Teams consistently delivering high-quality outcomes on time Clear visibility of progress through meaningful Agile metrics High levels of trust, engagement, and accountability within teams Continuous improvement embedded into delivery practices
