Job Description

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a relevant qualification such as a B.Sc. in Agriculture, Agricultural Diploma, Marketing Management, or equivalent
  • Possess basic agricultural exposure or understanding, gained through holiday work, hands-on farm experience, or familiarity with farming equipment and processes
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and demonstrate willingness to relocate and travel, including potential assignments in Zambia


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in daily farm operations, including crop monitoring, soil management, and equipment handling at assigned sites.
  • Participating in rotational placements across South African sites and potentially Zambia to gain exposure to diverse agricultural environments.
  • Supporting agricultural processes such as planting, harvesting, and pest control under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Engaging in training sessions and workshops to build knowledge of farming equipment, processes, and best practices.
  • Collaborating with teams in marketing and management, including collecting data for market analysis related to agricultural products.
  • Conducting site inspections and reporting on operational efficiencies, challenges, and improvements.
  • Travelling between sites as required, ensuring compliance with safety and relocation protocols.
  • Maintaining accurate records of activities, observations, and learnings during the program.
  • Contributing to team projects aimed at enhancing sustainability and productivity in agriculture.
  • Providing feedback on the program and operations to help refine future initiatives.
