About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL/Analyst Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in SQL development, data analysis, and business intelligence. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based solutions, as well as interpreting business requirements to deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support business requirements and reporting needs.
- Analyze and interpret large datasets to provide actionable insights and support business decision-making.
- Integrate data from multiple sources into databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical needs, developing and optimizing reports and dashboards.
- Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance improvements, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.
- Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data across systems and ensure data quality.
- Develop and deliver regular reports and ad-hoc data analysis to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with other developers, data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business goals.
- Write clear technical documentation for queries, processes, and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies, performance issues, and other technical challenges related to SQL and data processes.
Requirements
- SQL Expertise: At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Business Intelligence Tools: Experience with reporting and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) is preferred.
- ETL Development: Experience in developing and optimizing ETL processes using tools like SSIS, Informatica, or custom SQL-based solutions.
- Database Management: Proficient in database design, management, and optimization, with a solid understanding of indexing, query optimization, and normalization.
- Data Warehousing: Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in Analytics: Experience in generating analytical reports, dashboards, and visualizations based on SQL queries and business data.
- Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially with complex data queries and performance issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present data insights clearly.
