About the Role
We are seeking a Governance Intern to join our team for a 12-month period, assisting in the management of compliance and regulatory affairs within the organisation. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in governance and compliance, while contributing to the success of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the conduction of compliance and complaints training and awareness
- Identify regulatory risks applicable to the organisation – Compliance Risk Profile
- Assist business in identifying compliance risks and documenting controls
- Assist in planning and preparation of allocated compliance monitoring, including drafting of memo to the business
- Assist in drafting of self-assessment document or questionnaires for compliance monitoring
- Assist in drafting working papers
- Monitor and ensure effective compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage, Maintain and monitor Gifts and Entertainment Registers
- Monitor Monthly compliance calendar submissions
- Follow up on issues logged and submit monthly reports
- Analyse new laws for impact on company and prepare action plans to ensure compliance
- Assist in the review of compliance related policies and procedures
- Manage contact us mail box
- Perform any reasonable task as and when required by the Line Manager/ Executive
- Manage Training and Support
Requirements
- LLB, B. Com Law Certificate in Compliance Management (Ideal)
- Experience is not required, but preference will be given to people with disabilities.
