About the Role
Milton Resourcing is seeking a talented and motivated PCB Design Engineer to join our team in Pretoria, Gauteng. As a key member of our defence, aerospace, and telecommunications sector, you will be responsible for designing and simulating RF and digital electronic circuits using industry-standard tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and simulate RF and digital electronic circuits using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium or equivalent).
- Develop PCB layouts optimized for RF and high-speed digital circuits.
- Support product development through schematic capture, circuit analysis, and prototype evaluation.
- Conduct RF measurements and performance verification using spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and oscilloscopes.
- Collaborate with mechanical, RF, and systems engineers to ensure design integrity and performance compliance.
- Adhere to industry standards and best practices for EMC and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and continuous product improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years experience in PCB and electronic circuit design, preferably in RF or defence applications.
- Proficiency in RF and digital circuit simulation, analysis, and PCB layout.
- Strong knowledge of transmission line theory, impedance matching, and RF component behaviour.
- Experience using RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, oscilloscopes).
- Understanding of EMC principles and regulatory standards.
