About the Role
Join a small, high-impact Actuarial team within a broader Finance function, where you will work on advanced reserving, IFRS 17 reporting, capital analytics, and automation initiatives that directly improve operational efficiency. You will have significant ownership, the opportunity to shape key actuarial processes, and the support of colleagues who care deeply about both performance and people.
Key Responsibilities
- Build automated models and improve end-to-end actuarial processes
- Contribute to reserving, IFRS 17, and capital analytics while engaging with senior stakeholders
- Identify data anomalies and perform detailed “data digging”
- Fix data errors and implement controls
- Analyse trends and portfolio movements
- Maintain clear documentation for models, methodologies, and processes
- Perform ad-hoc analytical work as required
Requirements
- Education: minimum requirement BSc or BComm in Actuarial Science (or equivalent)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years actuarial/analytical experience, preferably in short-term insurance
- Skills:
- Programming skills (VBA, R, Python, SQL)
- Experience with Power BI
Qualifications
- Nearly or newly qualified actuary (ASSA or equivalent)
