About the Role
Safari JOBS Ltd is seeking an exceptional Managing Director to lead a highly respected conservation-led luxury travel operation based in Maun, Botswana. This is a rare and career-defining senior leadership opportunity for a commercially astute, values-driven executive who is ready to lead at country level within one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and execute the company’s strategic vision, aligned to market opportunities in Botswana and the wider region
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency
- Lead and develop a high‑performing executive and management team
- Strengthen governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
- Represent the business with key stakeholders, partners, regulators, and clients
- Champion a values‑led culture focused on performance, accountability, and employee engagement
Requirements
- Grade 12
- 10 years senior level experience in the safari / tourism / hospitality industry (relevant industry experience is advantageous)
- Demonstrated success in leading profitable businesses
- Strong strategic, commercial, and financial acumen
- Experience operating in African or emerging markets (highly advantageous)
