About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Department Manager to oversee the management of logistics and transporters, develop and improve production planning systems, and lead a team of staff in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning department Management
  • Overseeing Logistics & Transporters
  • Managing BOM’s
  • Developing and Improving Production Planning system
  • Involved in Production Planning on a daily basis
  • Assessing Sales Report daily
  • Mentoring / Leading staff
  • Assisting with all related customer & sale Rep concerns
  • Implementing Production / Lean Manufacturing Good practices
  • Design and re-design production layouts & processes
  • Managing production related issues
  • Assisting with customer queries and new designs
  • Assessing all relevant administrative reports from the production departments & stores
  • Manage and deal with all HR related situations
  • Managing staff compliments during all seasons of the business
  • Managing all Relevant RAW materials for production
  • Sign off orders
  • Credit notes sign off
  • Manage all Quality issues
  • Stock Take
  • Health & Safety Maintenance
  • Manage & develop all maintenance related projects
  • Monitoring & signing off of all maintenance related purchases

Requirements

  • Matric
  • B.Comm
  • Engineer – Industrial Management or similar
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Word / Pastel
