About the Role
As a Technical Workshop Manager – Coastal at REINHARDT TRANSPORT, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the workshop, including job allocation and job flow, schedule and labour allocation, resource coordination, store stock management, and fleet maintenance program. You will also assist with quoting, materials purchasing, quality checks, and ensure correct documentation is kept for all work done in the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily activities of the workshop
- Coordinate resources (operational and human) schedules and activities
- Manage store stock levels and the purchase of replacement parts and equipment
- Assist with quoting, materials purchasing, and quality checks
- Ensure correct documentation is kept for all work done in the workshop
- Manage the workshop team, including their performance, training, and development
- Develop and maintain a sound relationship with operations staff and suppliers
- Manage the fleet maintenance program in line with technical standards
- Conduct spot-check inspections on vehicles to ensure repairs, maintenance, and breakdown prevention meet standards
- Ensure compliance of the workshop with all Health and Safety legislation and standards
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Working knowledge of accounting principles
- Computer literacy: Excel, Word, Microsoft Office
- Read and write in Afrikaans and English
- Valid code 8 drivers license
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic / Auto Electrician with a minimum of 4 years experience in a workshop management role
