About the Role

As a Full Stack .NET Developer at Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing applications and services using the .NET framework. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the applications are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Database administration, consisting of:
  • The planning and development of the database, as well as troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain database schemas and queries using SQL.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, including tuning SQL queries, managing indexes, and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Architecture of system
  • Develop and maintain WPF desktop applications using C# and .NET Framework.
  • Develop and maintain front-end applications using HTML5 and Xaml frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Senior developer and management to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications.
  • Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface for new functionalities.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful API services.
  • Following the development cycle
  • The steps that are typically followed during the development cycle are as follows:
  • The user will log the request by compiling a summary of the undertaking.
  • If it is a new function, a draft of the said functionality will be drafted by the Manager or the person who requested the functionality.
  • The development specification is then verbally discussed with the development team and a suitable developer is allocated to the task, with an estimated deadline for the completion of the assignment.
  • Collaborate with developers within the team to ensure the best user experience for our users.
  • Ensure that designs are consistent with brand guidelines and user interface standards.
  • Once the development is completed, the developer will test their system.
  • For all possible scenarios to be tested, we request testing to be completed by a person who uses the system frequently and will most probably be using this new function moving forward. This is to ensure that the resulting functionality produces the results as envisioned.
  • As soon as the testing is complete and we are satisfied that the newly developed functionality works as expected, it will be rolled out onto the live system by the Senior Developer Team Lead.
