Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full accounting function
- Maintaining trial balance & general ledger
- Journals, reconciliations & balance sheet management
- Monthly and weekly management accounts
- Costing & customer profitability analysis
- Fixed asset register
- Statutory compliance (VAT, tax, WHT) in the Kenyan regulatory environment
- Banking & payments
- FX translations (USD, GBP, EUR, KES)
- Budgets, forecasts & audit preparation
- Assisting with financial statements
- Supporting senior executives with financial analysis and projects
Requirements
- B.Com Accounting or equivalent
- Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles
- Minimum 3 years post-article experience (logistics experience is a bonus)
- Strong command of accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work independently
- High attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
