About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our luxury Big 5 safari lodge team at Bright Placements (PTY) Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our international guests while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and guiding kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing quality and presentation.
• Develop and implement menus that showcase modern and traditional cuisine, plating, and portion control.
• Resolve operational and service challenges efficiently, ensuring high-quality dining experiences for guests.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy kitchen environment, adhering to hygiene, food safety, and sustainable practices.

• Culinary Expertise: Skilled in modern and traditional cuisine, plating, and portion control.

Qualifications

• Formal education/certifications in culinary arts or hospitality management (e.g., BSc, Dip, or equivalent).
