About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lodge Manager or Lodge Management couple to lead operations at our upmarket lodge in Botswana. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of hospitality expertise, operational, maintenance, and leadership skills to ensure exceptional guest experiences while maintaining our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the lodge, including Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) services.
Oversee routine maintenance and repairs, with a focus on solar power systems.
Develop and implement financial plans, manage budgets, and control costs to drive profitability.
Lead and develop a diverse team, including guides and operational staff, through talent development and creating a positive work environment.
Build and maintain relationships with local communities, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure long-term sustainability and cooperation.

Requirements

Citizenship: Botswana citizens or those with residency status are advantageous.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in an upmarket lodge environment, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
Operational Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations, including strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Maintenance Skills: Strong technical knowledge in general maintenance, including plumbing and electrical systems.
Expertise in solar power systems is essential.
Financial Management: Exceptional financial acumen with proven experience in budget management, financial planning, and cost control.

Qualifications

A relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality, business management, or a related field.
