About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting for a luxury lodge in the Sabi Sands that is seeking an experienced Head Sommelier to lead its wine and beverage offering. This role is suited to a senior wine professional with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of fine dining and luxury lodge service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and developing the lodges wine programme and beverage strategy
  • Managing wine procurement, stock control, and cellar organisation
  • Leading, training, and mentoring the sommelier and F&B service team
  • Advising guests on premium wine selections and food pairings
  • Maintaining exceptional service standards in line with luxury hospitality expectations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Sommelier or Senior Sommelier within a luxury hospitality environment
  • Excellent food and beverage knowledge, with a strong focus on wine
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
