About the Role
Network Finance, an innovative engineering and technology company, is seeking a skilled Development Engineer – Hardware to design and develop advanced electronic systems used in industrial applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical electronic systems, collaborating closely with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure products are robust, reliable, and ready for real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced electronic systems from circuit design and prototyping to production-ready solutions.
- Contribute to the full product lifecycle by working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous innovation.
Requirements
- B.Eng (Electronics) / BSc Engineering (Electronics) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in:
- Analog and digital circuit design
- Embedded systems design and programming
- Industrialisation and product development of electronic systems
- Hardware and software integration in embedded environments
- C/C++ programming for embedded applications
- PCB design (experience with Altium Designer highly advantageous)
- Working with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and digital signal processing (DSP)
- Communication protocols such as I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, and Ethernet
- Circuit simulation tools (LTSpice, PSpice, MATLAB or equivalent)
- Reading and interpreting technical schematics and datasheets
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT)
- EMC/EMI compliance and relevant industry standards
- Version control systems such as Git or SVN
- Laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, spectrum analysers, multimeters)
