About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Plettenberg Bay, Knysna. As a full-function bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing our company’s financial records and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing tax invoices for suppliers and customers
- Reconciling cashbooks (bank recons)
- Reconciling to supplier and customer statements
- Payroll processing
- SARS E-Filing: EMP201 & EMP501 submissions
- VAT reconciliation and returns
- Assist with VAT reviews on SARS
- Processing of journals and process up to a final trial balance
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary education preferred
- At least 5 years experience as a bookkeeper
- Proficient in accounting software (Pastel)
- Knowledge of Annual Financial Statement
- Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Contactable references
- No criminal record (checks will be done)
