About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Plettenberg Bay, Knysna. As a full-function bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing our company’s financial records and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing tax invoices for suppliers and customers
  • Reconciling cashbooks (bank recons)
  • Reconciling to supplier and customer statements
  • Payroll processing
  • SARS E-Filing: EMP201 & EMP501 submissions
  • VAT reconciliation and returns
  • Assist with VAT reviews on SARS
  • Processing of journals and process up to a final trial balance

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant tertiary education preferred
  • At least 5 years experience as a bookkeeper
  • Proficient in accounting software (Pastel)
  • Knowledge of Annual Financial Statement
  • Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Contactable references
  • No criminal record (checks will be done)
