About the Role
Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled Civil Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team in Cape Town. As a Civil Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing costs and contractual matters on various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Conducting quantity take-offs and measurements
- Managing and controlling project costs, including tracking and reporting on cost variations
- Preparing and analysing tender and contract documents
- Sourcing and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
- Providing advice on contractual claims and settlement of final accounts
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction processes and materials
- Experience or capability to manage a civil project with values of R200 million
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet project deadlines
- Experience in both GCC and FIDIC forms of contracts would be an advantage
