About the Role

IBM is seeking experienced DB2 Support Specialists to join their team in Pretoria. As a key member of the support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to clients and internal stakeholders, leveraging your expertise in DB2 for z/OS Mainframe (MVS) architecture and batch operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide production-level support for DB2 for z/OS Mainframe (MVS) applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to SQL, JCL, CICS, and Windows OS
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement process improvements and optimize database performance

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a DB2 DBA in an IBM z/OS (mainframe) environment
  • Strong knowledge of production support for DB2 for z/OS Mainframe (MVS) architecture and batch operations
  • Solid understanding of SQL, JCL, CICS, and Windows OS
