Kimberley: Engine Assembler

About the Role

The Engine Assembler plays a critical role in assembling various types of engines, with a primary focus on heavy-duty diesel engines for mining and other industries. This position requires collaboration with project coordinators and technicians to ensure seamless assembly and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble different types of engines, including heavy-duty diesel engines for mining and commercial vehicles from various brands.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to establish scope of work and supply detailed reports for quotations to customers.
• Perform trouble shooting and testing on the dyno after assembling the engine.
• Inspect all parts received for assembly to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Establish parts required and request orders to be placed.

Requirements

• N2 Trade-related subjects or 5 years’ experience as a qualified Artisan.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in diesel engine assembly.
• Trade test certificate in Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Machinist, or similar.
