About the Role
Join our OEM client’s Component Engineering Department as an Automotive Components Engineer, where you’ll contribute to the development of new solutions and grow with a diverse team. With a global presence in over 100 markets, we’re looking for a motivated individual to help design, develop, test, and introduce locally manufactured components that meet market requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, testing, and introducing locally manufactured components
- Adapting and developing sourced designs to be compatible with responsible markets’ environmental conditions
- Issuing technical data in line with the correct component engineering level
- Meeting regional requirements for local content and technical support
- Developing innovative and unique product features
- Ensuring safety and reliability in service
- Providing technical support for discontinued models
- Adhering to the required Product Emergence Process (PEP) manual
Requirements
- National Diploma/Btech/BSc/ BEng in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering
- Minimum 1-3 years relevant experience in the automotive or a similar engineering field, covering development, testing, and/or project managing of components and/or systems
- 1 to 3 years experience in development of automotive components (development/improvements/problem-solving)
- Knowledge of modern automotive production methods
- Knowledge of project management principles
- Self-motivation, good time management, report writing, and presentation ability
- Ability to conduct technical presentations
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with people at all levels
- MS Office computer literacy
Qualifications
- National Diploma/Btech/BSc/ BEng in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering (if applicable)
