Work Environment: Remote, off-grid or semi-off-grid location Outdoor and indoor work in varying weather conditions Interaction with wildlife (strict adherence to safety protocols required) Live-in position may be required 📋 Job Specification Minimum Requirements: Trade-tested Plumber or relevant plumbing qualification Minimum 35 years plumbing experience Experience working with water systems such as pumps, boreholes, and filtration systems Valid drivers license Knowledge & Skills: Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, maintenance, and repairs Experience with off-grid water systems and conservation practices (advantageous) Ability to diagnose faults and provide effective solutions Basic understanding of mechanical systems (pumps, pressure systems) Knowledge of health and safety regulations Basic computer skills for reporting and record-keeping Personal Attributes: Self-motivated and able to work independently Physically fit and capable of manual work Adaptable and comfortable in a remote bush environment Strong problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented Additional Requirements: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and standby duties Comfortable living on-site (if required) No dependents (depending on reserve accommodation policy) Interest in conservation and nature is beneficial
