Job Description

The Office Manager is responsible for optimizing office operations, oversees daily office operations, ensuring efficiency by managing facilities, supplies, budgets, fleet and staff support, while also handling administrative tasks like scheduling and implementing procedures to optimize workflow and maintain a positive environment. Combines administrative office support with supply chain oversight, including procurement, inventory control, shipping, and facility management. Large element of the position involves supporting senior management and the board with meetings, travel and other logistics. KPA 1: Optimising Office Operations · KPA 2: Support Senior Management (SMT) And Board Of Governors · KPA 3: Procurement And Logistics KPA 4: Fleet Management KPA 5: Property Administration Support KPA 6: Child Protection and Safeguarding Completed Grade 12 with further studies in administration, logistics or equavalent. A Valid South African Drivers Licence A Minimum 5 years relevant experience, with at least 3 years managing a similar Portfolio Proven report writing and strong administration skills Understanding of NGO operations, running an office, fleet and property Good organisational skills. Above average knowledge of MS Office Suite Fluency in English, and one or more local languages. Knowledge of fleet/logistics Working knowledge of organisational policies and standards SOS Childrens Villages South Africa holds strict child safeguarding principles and a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse in the workplace. Parallel to technical competence, recruitment, selection and hiring decisions will give due emphasize to assessing candidates value congruence and thorough background checks, police clearance, financial and reference check processes.
