About the Role

The Office Manager plays a vital role in optimizing office operations at SOS Children’s Village, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in managing daily activities, facilities, supplies, budgets, fleet, and staff support. This position combines administrative office support with supply chain oversight, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily office operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Oversee facilities management, including maintenance and upkeep of office premises
  • Supervise procurement, inventory control, shipping, and logistics processes
  • Provide fleet management services, including vehicle maintenance and fueling
  • Support senior management and the Board of Governors with meetings, travel arrangements, and other logistical tasks
  • Implement procedures to optimize workflow and maintain a positive work environment
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling and staff support

Requirements

  • Completed Grade 12 with further studies in administration or equivalent
  • Valid South African Drivers Licence
  • Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience in managing a similar portfolio
  • Proven report writing and strong administration skills
  • Understanding of NGO operations, office management, fleet, and property management
  • Good organisational skills
  • Above average knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Fluency in English, and one or more local languages
