About the Role
The Chargehand position at Route Management is a critical role that requires a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee daily activities, coordinate team workload, and ensure timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret Engineering drawings
- Liaise with Production teams
- Oversee daily activities and coordinate team workload to meet production targets
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team member skills and performance, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Identify and resolve any issues arising during the fabrication process
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production schedules
Requirements
- Own transport
- Minimum Code 10 drivers license
- Able to work long hours and under pressure
- High energy levels and self-motivated
- Reliable transport
- Good communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in van bodies, drop sides, curtain sides, and tippers
- Experience in paint work is an advantage
